In 2011, Tanya started a semi-pro photography business, in hopes of finding her style and developing her craft into something more than just a past time. After spending some time training her Husband, Russ came on board as a second shooter, thus becoming the family business it is now.

While both take on their own bookings, they really enjoy taking on bookings together. This gives clients two different view points and two different shooting styles in one session. Russ has a keen eye for details, often capturing the little things that others overlook, while Tanya has a keen eye for lighting and a love for chasing sunsets and sun flares.

Sessions with Taylored Memories are different from many others, because we prefer not to pose our clients, and rather prompt them to capture real, raw emotions. This provides clients with a relaxing, fun environment where they are free to be themselves and just enjoy the moment, rather than feeling stiff and uncomfortable.

There is never a dull moment in the Taylor house, where they raise their three children and two dogs. In what little down time they find they enjoy playing softball, hiking, camping, fitness and just relaxing with a good movie or a book.
